# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch square or similar baking dish.
02 - In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice until evenly coated.
03 - Combine granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and 2 tablespoons flour in a separate bowl. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples and toss gently to coat.
04 - Transfer the apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
05 - In a medium bowl, mix flour, rolled oats, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add cold diced butter and use fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
06 - Evenly sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
07 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender and bubbly.
08 - Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally accompanied by vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
